Japanese

A package from Houghton Mifflin arrived today with 2 copies of The Water Gift in Japanese. I was excited enough to blog about it, and while posting I saw this on Blue Rose Girls posted today. My life abounds with synchronicity lately.

The books had neat little scraps of paper in them that are just as interesting and unfathomable to me. Of course I have to give one of these to Kenichi, Waka and Linka.

That is so exciting. What did they do to the cover? Looks like a patch over the bottom?

There's a wrap around the bottom. I don't know what it says, I'll ask Kenichi.

That is so funny that we both got Japanese translations on the same day! Ha! Its interesting that the type on yours is horizontal, I guess it can go either way. Is your book backwards too (ie opens on the left side)?

This is so cool, Linda!! The paintings in this book are some of my favorites you've done thus far.

Also, I checked out the link for Kenichi and was blown away!! What a talent!!

No, Anna, mine goes in the western direction. I will also ask Kenichi! Thanks so much Phyllis, and he is! We're fortunate to have him in our theater company.
