case work

Feeling serious about my saw, and worried about the safety of my exposed bow and the arms of passers-by as I lug sharp metal teeth down the street to rehearsal, I made a custom fit case, including pockets for bow and rosin and leather shoulder strap. Still waiting for snaps for the pockets, but it's a happy saw outfit now. It only looks a little like a rifle.

Beautiful!
Just a thought: you might want to put something to prevent the teeth from cutting the case as you put the saw in... I have a case (not nearly as pretty as yours) that got worn-out where the teeth touch the cloth...

Hello Saw Lady! The case is made of heavy canvas, the green fabric is just a covering. I think it's durable, but we'll see! I will take more photos. An honor to have you visit my blog! (You too, mum!)
